Nice hotel, exellent location, but do not sleep on the last floor whit more than 30 degrees C outside:)
Brakfast could be better, it was very basic.
Good location but very average hotel ”
After a long stressful trip to London we found we had no towels in our room upon arrival, didn’t get any for a couple of hours. There were stained blankets on the beds. No mini fridge or phone. They changed us to a tiny room with no walking space that had dirty towels in the bathroom which had not been cleaned. We requested to be moved to another room. This hotel is undergoing renovations therefore it is lacking a lot of facilities and basic requirements (such a clean towels). Some staff were helpful once they understood how disappointed we were. Only plus is that it’s a good location.
Worth the money”
This was the biggest hotel I stayed at but cost the same as rooms less than half its size. Definitely worth paying a tiny bit extra for this one.
This average hotel is situated in a great upmarket location close to tube station.”
Hotel Blue Bells is located in a great location, close to tube station, Portobello Road Market and many great restaurants. The hotel is very average, rooms a bit stale and breakfast basic. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and which does not apply to other staff we met who were also not professionally dressed for a job in hospitality. Rooms recently had some renovations but poorly finished. There is no room fridge, there is however free luggage storage should you require it. All in all the hotel is basic, but value for money and has a good location.
an apparent refurbished room!”
while the bathroom looked brand spanking New! they forgot to leave any heating in the room, the hair dryer didn't work, there was no tea facilities and the only mirror was in the bathroom which is not good for blow drying and straightening hair! there is no plug in the bathroom and so there shouldnt be, i was right below reception and everytinr the receptionist moved throughout the night I could hair it, any conversations or arguments at reception!! I could hear!
it is a decent place I just had a bad room that even one of the workers said I don't know why they've put you in this room!
Nice to sleep, rest and go ”
You get what you pay for, it's a modest hotel that suited our needs, a place to rest, sleep, have. Quick breakfast and go out asap to explore London, the location is OK, there is a lot of stuff near by, and it's pretty chill, the check in was fast and it's well connected. The only cons is that it may need a little bit of work because it feels a little bit outdated, and was the cleanliness of the room could be better, I looked clean but the bed had a lot of hairs as well as the bathtub, everything else was okay, not perfect but it was good.
Breakfast is continental not english breakfast, but it is ok.
It is a old B&B. A renovation would be good.
Towels were sometimes changed, the bed was not always done and the cups at the room were not clean.
Stayed for 2 nights and was allocated room in basement. No air conditioning or fans so relied on opening front window which allowed street noise to enter room and interrupt sleep. No bedside tables, hence no side lamps so out of bed to turn lights off. Shower not working properly. No kettle in room so had to ask for one to make cup of tea/coffee. Travellers rely on tissues also - none supplied. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good location. Good continental breakfast.
Very convenient location ”
It was very nice location. Very close to the station.
Room was very clean. However little bit old . I think it is corresponded price.
What a dive”
Room was dark and creepy. Will never stay in a budget hotel again because of this!
unsatisfied wi fi in the third floor, no elevator, very poor breakfast
The lighting in the room was not conducive to reading in bed, nor could I locate the remote control for the TV. The manager tried hard to find a light bulb to fit the lamp over the bed, to his credit. But this should not have happened.
Just the basics”
We only spent one night and the hotel served its purpose: beds to sleep in and a bathroom to get cleaned up in. The room itself was satisfactorily clean; the hotel was being redecorated so it is difficult to guess what it will eventually look like.
The receptionist was so kind !!! ”
The receptionist was so nice to me. I asked a lot of thing but she was always smiling. And the location of hotel is awesome ~ it is really near from the potobello market !!!
Great location, building, and personnel”
Notting Hill Gem - Not for everyone...”
My 11 year old daughter and I had a 2 night stay in a basement room last weekend. The hotel was very convenient for the tube and to Portobello Market. We spent only our sleeping time at the hotel and it was FINE. The included breakfast is very basic but again, FINE. We found the room clean and the staff to be lovely. I don't think you can beat the price for the location. There was no a/c in our room but that wasn't an issue for us - I do know, however, that it would have been if my husband had been with us on the trip.
It was fine
Blue Bells Hotel, London”
Notting Hill, the area where the hotel is situated is very nice and very convenient for travelling around London. The beds were very comfortable.
The London underground goes right under the hotel and there is a train about every two minutes until around 1:30am. In the description on the web it said that there is a buffet breakfast - it is not - a contintental breakfast with coffee/tea, toast, corn flakes and fruit juice is what is served.
One of the main reasons for us booking this hotel was the buffet breakfast that was mentioned in the hotel description on the Agoda web. It turned out to be an ordinary continental breakfast. We were three ladies sharing one room which was just average, but with comfortable beds but without a mirror in the room (especially annoying for three ladies). A bit strange that two of us had to share a double beed with one blanket when we were three lady friends who booked. During our whole stay at the hotel we did not get a key for our room, the receptionist had to open and lock all the time, which we discovered he forgot once.
