很意外的是旅館工作人員皆是金髮歐美人士，但日文相當流利（當然英文也流利），看到他們在服務有種反差的有趣感覺。櫃檯人員面對我（台灣旅客），會詢問要用日文還是英文，我選擇日文，他會說得很慢、很清楚，有一點點基本日語能力會完全理解她的意思。服務人員非常用心，房間也應有盡有，是一家我會再訪的旅館！

Staff英文超好，溝通上完全沒有問題。房內浸浴空間舒適，只是晚上房間光線有點暗。住了兩晚，美中不足的是房間清潔並不包括更換浴巾毛巾。

酒店地點很好，在內街，不會多噪音，較近三条站，離祗園四条站也不遠，因此到花見小路，鴨川，錦市場很方便，甚至走路到二年坂、三年坂、京都御苑等地點都不遠，省回不少上落地鐵的時間和開支。酒店每層只有3個房，房間屬和風設計，有特色；職員的英語很好，容易溝通，也熱心幫忙訂機場巴士；但早餐卻較簡單，若多一些食物款式便好了。

It's near to Sanjo keihan Station. Easy to locate and quite convenient to go anywhere, be it Gion Traditional street or kawamarachi. It's a quiet neighbourhood area. The room are comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly.

What a Pleasant Surprise”
As a frequent business and leisure traveler, I almost exclusively stick to a specific large American hotel chain that I have elite status with. Given there were no hotels affiliated with this brand in Kyoto at the time, I was forced to book outside of my comfort zone and I was a little apprehensive to do so. However, the moment I stepped into my room I was pleasantly surprised by how at home I felt. I was in room 101, the only room on the ground floor and with a little garden view. It was more than comfortable and we really loved the somewhat traditional Japanese feel of the room. The room is on the smaller size, but still had plenty of space for two of us. The bed sits very low on top of some tatami mats, and it was comfortable and very clean. Actually the entire room felt incredibly clean. The bathroom had a single sink and vanity, a separate small room housing the very fancy Japanese toilet that greeted you by automatically opening when you entered the room, and an incredibly big wet room housing the tub and large separate shower. We didn't eat any meals at the hotel, so I can't speak to the quality of the food. We did interact with the front desk staff by asking numerous questions and just engaging in casual conversations. They were all very nice and incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this quaint little hotel in the heart of the Gion district and not far from a subway station. It was quite the pleasant surprise for us, and one that we greatly enjoyed and would highly recommend to anyone.

pretty hotel but very bed bedding ”
chose this hotel as it looks like a very pretty boutique hotel. however room was very small and bed is really terrible! very hard bed it’s like sleeping on the floor. one thing about holidays is restful sleep but this was a super big NO NO. so unless the hotel changes its mattress please reconsider booking. room did not have any mirror for me to do my makeup and when my husband needs the sink it was impossible to share as the space was small. nevertheless i must say that the bento breakfast was very nice.
