不專業的經理 & 極糟糕的接待大廳”
1. 接代經理不曉得Agoda系統，讓我們在"整修中"的大廳，應該說是在"工地"罰站超過二十多分鐘。員工發現竟也不拿椅子接待，只顧自行泡茶聊天。 2. 整修中的飯店，價格非常不合理，花一樣的錢但服務大打折扣!

Good breakfast buffet although the staff at the buffet are a bit slow to refill. The reception and cleaning staff were very good. Thank you Mustapha for your help. The rooms were great and you couldnt ask for a better location. Two mins walk to Istiklal road.
Try to stay away from this place”
That was just horrible! First we've arrived there were some problems on check in that were solved pretty slowly. Then we were shown our room. It was smaller than on photo and it was long way down via two elevators and inconvenient ladders. We had very dirty room. There were man's hair all over the bed and pillows. We don't watch TV but still it didn't work and remote controller was from another device. Internet. OH MY GOD!!! It the worst ever internet in the whole world!!! You will never ever get info from internet out there with that wi-fi. Want to watch youtube or chat with friends - no chance at all! We tried to get some info from reception but it's like talk to wall - no respond. Anyway we don't recommend this hell place. Only if you want live right near the Taksim.
Good location but poor shower facility”
The hotel is located in Taksim and it’s convenient to go anywhere in Istanbul. However, the hotel was old and no renovation has been made. No shower hose was installed which we could only bath throughly. Anyways, one of the front desk staff welcomed us on the first night and was so helpful with proactive service, would like to make compliant to that staff.
great location, fantastic breakfast ”
At first, when I checked in, while at the lobby I got the wrong impression of the hotel, the lobby is perhaps the weakest point of the hotel, other than that I definately know, when I return To Istanbul, this is my Hotel. The location is 3 minutes walk to Taksim,airport bus. We walked to the grand Bazaar, perhaps 20 minutes. Great money value.
The worst experience I had in a hotel so far!”
The hotels is having underground rooms and the level of my room was not accessible by the lift so I have to take the lift then the stairs to get my room in B3. My room was not clean, i had insects in the room, molds in the sink and the light was not completely working in the bathroom. The breakfast was very bad; very limited options, food was not fresh or clean; I was not surprise to be honest from the very bad breakfast as the other services in the hotels were very very bad. The staff at the reception was not helpful at all and all they want is letting you pay more money to get services that you should have in any hotel. They are expert in fighting/shouting at customers I waited at 2 hours at the reception and I heard them having big fights with customers at the hotel. For the hyper slow internet, it can be only used for texting on WhatsApp, images needs times to be send/received, I could not check my email or open google maps or surf the net and was obliged a Turkish nbr and data.
WE HAVE BEEN CHEATED”
Me and my family had bad experience at this hotel. We feel we have been 100% cheated. We book this hotel for its location, restaurant, breakfast, pool, Spa, air-condition, TVs, internet etc. But the reality was something else. 1. Some of the hotel staff are so Rude. 2. We tried two rooms, both smelling hell, the bathrooms dirty and full of mold, noise was unbelievable from everywhere, and no sunlight coming inside the room, broken electricity sockets, and lose TV system installation behind and under the TV. We informed the service, sent some pictures, we left without any fix. 3. Internet service is not working all over the hotel. 4. The swimming pool can’t be used and cold like a freezer and it will not be fixed before 2-3 Turkish weeks! A honest guy told us they saving some money. 5.Poor breakfast, dirty tables, always something missing. 6. Service knocking on our door, even we had DO NOT DESTURB red-sheet on it!

Worst experience. Worst customer service”
I booked room from agoda with CITY VIEW but when i arrived the hotel they treated us as we were staying for free. Reception staff was very rude and they gave us a very small room in the basement which was -3 floor down and atmosphere there was very damp. They told us that bookings made through agoda are only in basement with no window as they give comission to agoda and told us to talk to agoda. We tried calling agoda several times but after holding for 10 to 12 minutes every time call was disconnected. As the booking was non refundable we stayed there Worst experience
good hotel with bad workers”
the only hotel i've seen in my life that they have the worst service for breakfast buffet , they say by 10 it ends but whatever finish by 8 they dont refill it , also they start removing plates by 9 , there are no customer service at all , while the only good thing is the reception .
A good inn in Istanbul”
My stay was pleasant with the staff being very helpful in giving me information about how to get to various places in Istanbul. A minor problem with the in-room safety box was handled quickly and efficiently with no fuss. My room was on the -3 level but still had a window. Rooms on the upper floors had rather nice views of the Bosphorous.
Good, Nice Hotel”
The hotel is as good as it can be to a business Traveler who are out most of the time. The Room and Food was great. Prompt service was what we got from day one. Nothing to report on the negativity side. Over all a decent hotel where everyone will feel relaxed.
Comfortable room, rude staff”
I had booked a double room, and was given a triple room. I returned to the reception desk to be moved to a double room. The reception in charge was extremely rude, saying that there is no difference to a triple room and a double room!! So rude! He eventually gave me the appropriate room without the least being courteous. Breakfast was adequate, quiet a reasonable selection, but again Staff were extremely rude. None of them greeted the guest. I asked to be seated they only responded in a horrifying look as if scared of being asked. When it was the last service for bfast, kitchen staff just abruptly took all the food for the serving station, coffee machine turned off and covered. There must have still been around 20 people at the restaurant, any they could have done it subtle without making so much noise. Overall, Hotel room and facilities was not bad however staff need a lot of training as they are absolutely not fit to be working in a hospitality industry as none of them knew how to be hospitable towards their guests!
Good hotel, good value of money, clean, renovated”
I travelled alone, because I was meeting friends the next day. The lobby and a part of the hotel is in construction, but please read further!!!, because I didn´t notice it in the room. The staff tries to treat you as well as possible, most of them speak English and they we´ll explain everything to you. The room was originally a budget room, yet because of some changes I got to a better room, and it was! The beds are comfortable, clean and the bathroom with a rain shower is really nice and nice renovated in a modern style. I enjoyed my stay.
Party hotel that does let you party”
The staff were helpful to hotel guests;however, rude to some visiting guests. Close to great clubs and restaurants. Not so meticulous about cleaning. A friend found blood on his sheets and it wasn't his.

Nothing much special but the room is good for me. Staff not that friendly or helpful though partly because they were too busy with other guest but I dont really mind cos I dont really need their help. Breakfast quite good.
The staff is bit cold, perhaps that is the Turkish culture. The breakfast spread was not inviting at all. The way to the room looks so cramped and lights will be switched off automatically which scared me a few times. I might consider going back. I bet it is a normal practice for hotel to charge tourists for the city guide and map.

I stay in a new hotel about twice a month, and sometimes i just pick what looks good at agoda. most of the times it works, so i keep on using agoda for booking. But sometimes you get a hotel that agoda might not want to work with - Grand Star is such an example. (And possibly their sister-hotels, all having similiar names) Staff was quite unfriendly, ambiance lacked, it was noisy both from other guests and from repairmen doing odd-jobs around the clock. Worst was that my room, which could not be changed, was three stories under lobby-level and faced a tiny backyard with a fire escape directly outside that was covered in orange tarpaulin. Awful. Room otherwise small and smelly. Looks from breakfast buffet room was good though. But that could be had from other nice places too... Recommendation: find another hotel.
