Clean and affordable hotel in the heart of Cape Town ”
Very clean, affordable and in the heart of the city, walking distance to Waterfront, iziko musium, party Street long street
Rude and obnoxious staff”
Staff members were not very welcoming, lack of professionalism, inconsiderate, lack of organization, dishonest and disrespectful. The room was spacious had great heating but its unfortunate that there were cockroaches.
Ideal place for a budget travel. Located in a central of Cape Town.
Great location with good breakfast. ”
It is an 'old' hotel which needs some work. A nice spacious room. Very conveniently located to the old town, pleasant and friendly staff. Close to restaurants, supermarkets and bars. It has its own bar and restaurant.
Not the best place.”
Only place for R770 a night.
Good budget hotel”
Good budget hotel, well located just off long street
Good location, very few facilities
best location, close to bus stop and everything.
Noisy and unclean”
hourible' got beaten by strange insects and they refuse to clean the rooms.
location of not idealfor families with children. ”
Unpleasant, breakfast is limited. For the whole week they did not have flour to make flap jacks for my 5yr old. They advertise family rooms when you get there they telling you that they don't have family rooms and that Agoda.com made a mistake. Then they want to charge you for an extra bed. You have to pay R100 for the parking per night. No ironing facilities and that is another R100 to iron your clothes, one receptionists was so rude and she told me that I didn't pay for my 5yrold breakfast where I made a booking and expected meto pay extra thank goodness one of the managers was there's and tried to calm the situation. In the rooms things are falling apart, bed was secured with a brick and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. I would not recommend that place to anyone, even my worst enemy.
Nice stay in downtown ”
Professional manager and staff, very good location to pubs and bars in downtown, secure stay and
We was arriving Friday 13th November for 3 nights, my family was arrived from Germany, special thanks to the manager who make things possible and comfortable for our family during arriving the hotel and during our stay, great information’s about things to do in and around Cape Town, we really enjoy our stay in the Kings Hotel, Thomas and family
i hated it it was horrible the fiid was horrible the room was small and the price was too much.Breakfast was limited and tasteless.
Only if other choices are not available”
The area around the hotel leaves one feeling very unsafe. Night clubs in the area caused people to scream and shout in the street. Did not get any rest. Parking is a major issue. I will really look elsewhere for my next visit to Cape Town.
Breakfast is very basic. But the staff is extremely unfriendly. Not all of them are fluent in english??
We couldnt stay the rooms were not clean and bed linen dirty and un-ironed
Kings in Cape hotel”
There were problems with parking after I had already paid. Had to park on the street (location not safe). Was told that I could not get my money back as the safe was locked. Communication from the manager at the time was pathetic. Staff members were dragging their feet to assist me. Restaurant staff also offered poor service. I eventually got my parking fee back at check- out when another manager was on shift. Overall I did not have a pleasant stay at this hotel.
perfect place for adventurous couple”
The hotel location in the city center and closeness to all form of public transport, made our daily trips superb and easy. The receptionist whose very welcoming made me and my partner feel at home.
We had a great stay at Kings in Cape Hotel, the size of the room was quite big enough for a couple.I loved the daily breakfast and of course the friendly staff.I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is looking for a great value for money stay in and around Cape Town.Best deal.
You get what you pay for”
Uncomfortable and unsafe
Not very cheap and cheerful”
There was none well maybe location
I would honestly say it was the worst hotel I ever stayed in Rooms too small no kettle cockroaches all over the place Bathroom and showers looked dirty S disaster of a stay
Plesant stay, but has no elevator.”
Location, Ethiopian Restaurant, friendly staff
Clean hotel and friendly staff, decent breakfast, great dinners, but paid for parking and it was never available without having to involve a manager (who himself parked in our space one night). This place has no elevator and none of the rooms are on the first floor. If you're young and have no small children or older people traveling with you it's ok, but I don't recommend otherwise. The room don't really fit four (two adults and two children) unless one or both of your children is under 10, but the staff did work to make the best of it.
