Great location, but hotel itself not there just yet”
Really needs airconditioning particularly in case of heat waves in summer as South facing room was hotter than it was outside or in corridors and needs more variety at breakfast time. Five nights too much in these conditions.
Max Brown was amazing! The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, location was perfect and the breakfast was awesome! Thank you!
This hotel was perfect. The location was superb and the staff was welcoming and very friendly. The room was neat and well arranged. The bed was very comfortable too! I particularly enjoyed breakfast and all the vegetarian and vegan options available. Excellent hotel!
Great little hotel - but no secure luggage storage”
It's a lovely little hotel. The rooms are snug (and the beds are narrow!) but it's done really nicely, the staff are super helpful and the bar area is cosy with loads of games and books. NOTE THOUGH: There's no secure luggage storage, just a rack in a corridor –- and one of our bags went missing. I reckon it was picked up by mistake by another guest (it was a shopping bag with a couple of coats in). I'd stay there again - but I'd take a luggage lock next time...
The hotel is very near from the Rijksmuseum Bus Stop and I Amsterdam sign. Small but will give you a homey vibes.
The staff are very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is basic, ham, cereals, cheese, yogurts, fruits etc.
You will need to take stairs going up to the Hotel lobby and to the breakfast area. If you have a heavy luggage, it will be quiet challenging going up to the reception area.
From Amsterdam Schipol Airport, you can take the bus 397 to Leidseplein and get off at Rijksmuseum. Then just cross the street and u will see Jan Lujikenstraat street where the hotel is located. If you choose to get the train, you will get off at Amsterdam Centraal and just take tram 2 or 5. You will get off on the same bus stop: Rijksmuseum.
It is also a 10 mins walk to Leidseplein where you can get unlimited ribs for €10 from 10pm onwards. There are lots of bars and ‘coffee shops’ located here.
LOVED this property! Clean, tidy, great rooms - will return :) ”
Excellent location! Loved everything about our loft room!! Will stay again!! :)
If you're the type that's looking for haunted or horror spooky adventure, this hotel is for you. ”
The pictures posted are completely deceiving. The entrance to the hotel is a set of steep stairs with arrow steps. Our luggage were 23 kgs. each, hard to bring up. We were given a room, at first in a wing that doesn't have an elevator and we need to carry our luggage down a flight of stairs, again that's narrow and steep until we asked for another room that has elevator. We were given 309.. The corridors on the floor was narrow and spooky. The carpeting and the red velvet paneling are worn down. Its walls are painted black with antique mirrors on the side, makes you not want to look in the mirror because you might see a monstrous face staring back at you. Once we got in to the room, it was dusty and when we checked the beds, there was a bug crawling. The 2 beds were so high and looks like a mortuary table with mattress. We paid for 2 nights, we just forfeited the payment and looked for another hotel. We didn't stay longer than 25 minutes. We sort of ran for our lives!
Three museums around. One night stay, but good memory.
Excellent choice if you want the best of Amsterdam but stay in a more residential quiet location”
Great location for us as city centre easy to access. Although rooms were very small they were perfectly adequate with all the facilities you need for a city trip. I've been to Amsterdam many times, so can appreciate a location that is a bit further out and more residential, i.e. quieter. Would recommend this hotel for couples, trip with friends (perhaps not in your teens but def. late twenties!)
Cosy boutique hotel with good location”
Easy access to Museums. Helpful staff.
This hotel is a joke, they put us in a very small room that was not even the one I booked, I complain to the front desk and they said if I want a bigger room I should pay 60 euros, they didn't change the room despite my argument and the manager said she will just upgrade us to a slightly medium room the following day. Pls people don't book this hotel, very expensive, the hallway is really tight, and so small it's not worth for my money. Very disappointed.
Nice girls trip”
Service of the staff, location and cleanliness of the room
Clean, fresh, bedroom
Great location,,friendly staff, small but neat room”
Great location in the museum district, renovated rooms,OK breakfast
Acro hotel was a good choice for us in Amsterdam- conveniently located in the quiet museum district, just a step from the tram and bus stations. Staff was helpful, but managed to misplace our room order, which left us with the possibility of not getting a room... otherwise they were very accommodating. Breakfast was OK- filling, but very dull, not quite as good as we had in other major European cities. The only other room was the wi-fi network, which was unavailable in the rooms due to it being damaged in the recent renovations... we felt that they could have done more to fix it quickly, it was unavailable throughout the entire week of our stay. Otherwise- very nice hotel!
safe, really nice rooms, clean
bit of a walk to center of town, had to pay for the internet
was a really nice hotel, had a loft type room on the 4th floor with a wonderful view. however it was a bit of a walk into the center of town but not to far. great value for money and would go back there if i go to Amsterdam again and would recommend it to all
