+ Three minutes walking distance to nearest metro
+ Surrounded by a lot of bars and restaurants (avoid Cafe de Luna - the worst cafe/restaurant in the area)
+ Allowed us to check-in early.
- No replacing or re-filling the shower gel/shampoo when staying more than one night. When we checked in, the shampoo/shower gel (2 in 1) was just 1/3 of the bottle. Its gone until the second day but they did not re-fill or change
- No cleaning service. We hanged the sign of cleaning the room before leaving at 11 A.M but noone made up the room until we came back at 6 P.M. We called the front desk and they explained the cleaning people thought the sign is “do not disturb” and no one is available after 6 PM to clean our room. So annoyed!!!!
- Hair dryer does not work. We told the front desk but they do not change the new one or fix it.
In conclusion, travelling as couple and looking for romantic paris, you should not stay here to avoid ruining your perfect trip in Paris.
Got a great upgrade with a view of the Eiffel Tower on check in as they knew it was our honeymoon. Room is very small though.
Hotel is very nice and close to public transport and moulin rouge with very nice restaurants around.
Only problem was that we found blood on our duvet cover. We asked reception for it to be changed, but this sadly never happened.
Enjoyed the location, really close to everything. Basic amenities in room, paper cups for hot drinks, no shampoos or shower cap. Staff in bar/restaurant very good and obliging, front of house staff less so. We are Accor members and received no aknowledgement or special consideration. Staff in Accor hotels in Australia are much more client focused. All in all a good experience.
The hotel was in good location to Metro.
It was clean and we got upgraded to a corner room. Clean and roomy. Good wifi connection. Lots of restaurant around the area.
First time in Paris”
I like the hotel. Wanted to adventure abit, but this time I prefer to play safe so that's why I picked Mercure. Japanese restaurant across the street is pretty good for a choice for a quick meal. The cafe accross is a good place for an alternate breakfast. Breakfast is good, I guess if you can have a choice of price including breakfast, then you should pick it cause separately breakfast alone is quiet price. Staff is wonderful.
A wonderful find by accident on the internet. Would stay again....Very centrally located for Metro, cafe's
Lovely hotel, great location”
Right by the Monmatre area plenty of bars and restaurants. Easy access to metro. The hotel is clean and staff very helpful, t was a very enjoyable stay.
Modern Decor, easy to reach via Metro”
We enjoyed the decor, breakfast was great. The area seems a bit run down, however its filled with Cafes and restaurants.
The Big bus has a new Blue route that comes relatively near the area (Pigalle Metro station).
Staff was fantastic and helpful.
Simple, practical with touch of Paris an decor ”
Near Metroline, good location and friendly staff that assist in simple printing,
Good - like the decor; breakfast spread and seating arrangement can be better
Nice and Convenient Hotel”
1) Near to metro 2) Good furnishings 3) Friendly staff
It was a good stay and value for money. The nearest metro is Place de Clichy which is accessible to town area and places you wanna go. The hotel furnishings are good too for the money spent. Recommended!
This hotel was just okay, but it worked. It was a little worn down, but it was a good place to sleep while visiting Paris. It's right up the street from the Moulin Rouge and the metro station is just a couple steps away. I think next time I'd stay someplace closer to the Latin Quarter.
Great location, terrible service. ”
Location, location, location.
This hotel is situated in a great location - mere steps to the Moulin Rouge and the. Metro. But the downside that we experienced service wise will ensure that we will not choose to stay at the Mercure again. We had no air conditioning and it was hot for us to have a comfortable nights rest . Staff suggested opening the windows - but it was too bright and quite noisy out on the street late at night. When we needed to ask for supplies and sometimes support (to reset our room safe) it took at least 4 times within a span of 2 days before we got service. 2 out of 3 elevators didn't work. Unfriendly and unapologetic staff in reception area. Dirty towels re folded and not replaced, our pile of coins that we left in our bed side table was 8 euros less when we came back to our room, very very disappointing. Several American guests shared our sentiments too. They were understaffed and have no housekeeping after 9pm. You better not need soap or towels or water after 9pm, they have no technicians for urgent repairs when we stayed. And the lady receptionist at the front desk said they are a 4 star hotel. According to hotel standards? Really? perhaps a reevaluation for this hotel should be prioritized. Time to take away some stars ASAP.
Decent hotel in a great place”
Location, price & facilities

Value for Money”
Cleanliness, Good Service, Location is not bad
We had a pleasant experience with this hotel.
Location, confort, breakfast
Nice and excellent service for this 3 star hotel. Very good value for money with excellent breakfast. Good location near metro station and many small restaurants available all around the place. Friendly staff and comfortable room. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
