Terrible from start to finish. I booked this hotel for myself and 3 friends to go to Rome for 5 nights. One of the main reasons we booked this place was the hotel looked good as did the facilities, including the bar and pool.
Upon arrival (about 2:30pm) we were told our room was not ready (no problem) and it would be a short while. I said we would grab a drink in the pool and when it was ready it was ready!
The staff then told us the pool was closed until June (??) and we could not use the pool. This was a major issue however we went to the bar when the fun continued, we ordered 3 beers (bottles) at 9 euros each which were lute warm at best. I dont mind paying for a drink but cold beer at that price shouldnt be an issue.
We then got the room key and after sorting our clothes etc i noticed the room was still red hot (25-30 degrees that week) after being in the room for 30mins + with the AC set to min (cold) level and on.
Again i spoke to reception to ask them to sort this and i was
Great value for hotel in Rome”
We booked the hotel through a tour and then added days. The hotel was a great value and the metro was only a i km walk so we were able to get to the city easily. The breakfast was included. The waitstaff was awesome some very nice waiters but the food overpriced for what you got. Would definitely eat and drink in Rome or Trastevere.
Very Good! ”
Good for cruise transfer. The breakfast was great!
Helpful staff, comfortable beds, great breakfast
Not satisfied ”
Comfy bed, the swimming pool and the staff
Summer in Rome.”
Great front desk staff!
Not enough lighting in the room. Furniture and carpet very worn.
Great air conditioning and very helpful staff.
Fantastic Stay at the Carpegna!”
Staff, cleanliness and pool
Fantastic Staff. Big shout out to Maria and lovely lady with blonde hair and glasses at reception, Francesco and Mar? in the restaurant. Pool was fantastic. Would definitely return.
good breakfast, clean rooms, quiet place
We have stayed for one night. Rooms were large & clean but the hotel was smelly. The breakfast was very nice. The hotel has a quiet environment and comfortable rooms which makes easy to rest.
Standards have dropped will not stay there again”
none tatty dirty rooms food appauling staff somewhat self assured and not polite
Dirty smelly rooms air conditioning not working properly furniture in main reception needs serious attention restaurant food much to be desired should be downgraded to maximum 2 stars stayed
Close to my favourite restaurant & the Vatican”
clean, transfer, breakfast
We stayed here for 1 night as we only wanted to see the Vatican. And we discovered our favourite restaurant in all of ROME. vongole e farin-via della cava aurelia 21, Rome, Italy
exceptional service great pastas and desserts. Actually anything we tried was so delicious i'm thinking of visiting Rome to eat here again. Its a 10 min walk from NH Villa Carpegna.Perfect way to end our trip.
quiet, helpful employees, close to centre
Expensive hotell with no flavour”
The hotell was little bit far from the city area. A 30 min walk to the Vatican city. The breakfast was great but that was it. Expensive hotell Wich is overated as a 4 star hotell. I would never give more than 3 stars. Had to pay city tax hotell when i was leaving. 3 Euro pr person pr night. Unbeliable.......
Decent hotel, but far from any lively area”
Quiet environment and great breakfast
The hotel promotes being located in trastevere, but it is situated on a hill and far from any lively areay. It takes 30 minutes to walk to vatican city and from there you can walk to other places. Public transportation is not easy from the hotel, so we ended up taking taxi's back and forth which cost approx. 15 to 20 euro per ride.
Other than the location, the hotel was quiet ok. Rooms are nice, and breakfast is great. If you enjoy walking then 30 minutes to vatican city is not far either.
Another point of remark is the pool opening times. It's impossible to take a swim early morning before sightseeing, since the pool opens at 10am.
Jolly villa carpegna Hotel”
Good Breakfast. Cean Rooms.
Staff attentiveness & Service
Nice Hotel but pool rather too cold for July, If it wasn't for the excellent food and clean rooms I would have been very disappointed because of the staff attitude, not on reception but on the bar and dining side. On the whole I would recommend this hotel to others.
la qualità del ristorante, non corrisponde agli standard dell'hotel. gli ingredienti utilizzati nella preparazione dei piatti, sono di livello inferiore a quanto descritto nel menù
Hotel confortevole , camere grandi, ”
