Perfectly located hotel for East London ”
Hotel is sort of modern with a large open plan reception / bar / dining room with very helpful staff. Room facing the main road so had to put up with vehicular traffic early. The hotel is pretty good value for what we paid and whilst it is in a pretty grim location it is not too far from tube station (10 minutes) & the overland train station (5 mins). There are some really nice bars not too far away but the sit down eating out options are limited. Would stay again if we needed to be in that part of East London.
Nice and clean but on a busy main road ”
Lovely hotel, very clean & contemporary. The restaurant was quiet and did lack atmosphere for the evening meal and the room overlooked the main rd which was busy and noisy! Our room directly overlooked a pedestrian crossing which beeped constantly throughout the night! Other than that it was a lovely hotel, I would stay again but definitely request a room on the other side of the building.
Have stayed here several times but the first time we have had breakfast . The cooked food was not hot enough and I had to ask for hot coffee and milk as the one I poured was cold. Other meals we have had have been fine.
Very good hotel ”
Excellent hotel, excellent service and courteous, very clean. The only drawback is that not all of the distance this shortcoming 10-minute walk from the train. Highly recommend the hotel. Go back there again.
Resting stay in Re Hotel Shoreditch ”
Shared room with daughter after tiring shift..appreciated nice clean and quiet room. Had all we needed. The complimentary coffee making kit permitted us to relax in bedroom til late morning. Staff very helpful when asked to leave luggage in deposit.
Loved our stay”
It takes a while to get there about an 1hr and 40minutes from the airport and roughly around 70 pounds. But it's close to all the tourist sites by train, there's a great little lunch spot right best to it on the following block and it looks like a rough area but we didn't find it to be scary or worrisome. Room was small but cute, gym was equipped, and the staff was friendly. Overall great stay, great location, and great value for money!!
confy and close to east end shopping”
Was a pleasure to stay in this hotel, just on the side of the bus number 48 wich brings you directly to london bridge if you need to go to Gatwick or to Liverpool street for Stansted. The Hotel is made in a modern design style, clean and with nice rooms.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff”
i have stayed there for over 3 weeks, re hotel gives me a very good experiences in there, 24hr hot water, air condition, have tea kattle in the room and a refreigter at the wardrobe. it is just awesome, you would love it.
Great hotel in Ginza”
The hotel has really big rooms for such a central location in Ginza. The hotel is close to two Metro stations and can easily be reached from everywhere. Rooms are quite and clean and offer enough space for your luggage. The staff is very friendly and can help with anything you might need in Tokyo. The free internet is fast and reliable.
The hotel was basic and comfortable. We were overlooking the hackney road which was noisy all night , that did not bother us . The bed was really comfortable the room was not the biggest but was fine for our needs . Bathroom was on the small side but all clean and the shower was good . The room service was quick and the meal was good and good value for money too. Breakfast was really good but when things ran out the waiting time was quite long , I waited 20 mins for fried eggs ! And everything seemed to run out at the same time. People were waiting for coffee , butter , milk and we had to keep on asking. But the breakfast was good when it all came together .
The hotel is clean but the decor feels very very dated and worn out. TV and wifi don't very well either. Needs a re-fit soon.
i stayed four nights. The staff weren't particularly helpful and the beds were uncomfortable. The rooms were clean and hotel bar stayed open very late. This is definitely not a four star hotel. There are no amenities or even plush standards about the hotel to rank as 4 star. It's located east London so the area looks a bit industrial but easy to catch a bus or cabs to get around the city.
Not 4 star hotel for me”
Well, when I see they put the advertisement as 4 star hotel I think I can get good service like 24 hours room service, pleasant service from the employees, and can change my bed sheet everyday with full toiletries in the bathroom... but I don't get it at all!! Very disappointing for me. And for information the housekeeping service stop at 3 o'clock everyday. So if you wake up late they will start to knock your door since 1 o'clock, and if you insist to stay until almost 3 o'clock the housekeeper will only do basic things like re-arrange your bed, supply your mini bar, and change your towel. That's happened to me! Really hate it! The food in restaurant also not tasty and I don't feel it's worth as it's price... I won't stay in this hotel anymore
Sufficient; what we had expected”
it wasn't fancy but it was as expected - we were looking for a compromise between quality and price and it met our expectations. the areas might be a little rough for first-timers to London but it was pretty convenient.
Great hotel but let down by some staff”
On the whole a good experience. One woman working at front desk. Occasionally looked up but mostly ignored guests or told us to come back at 2 to check in!! She was not helpful at all. If she was not available on the front desk to serve then she should not have been there as impression was that she was rude and unhelpful. Not a first good impression. Another lady on reception who seemed to be rushing around and trying to sort someone's parking at least smiled. Apologised and said she would be back shortly. When she came back she said she would see if our rooms were available instead of telling us to come back at 2pm. This was probably about 1.30 and there was already a crowd of people waiting who had been told to come back at 2pm. Luckily our room was ready and we were able to check in. Even if it wasn't, at least she made an effort to check instead of telling us to come back later. Didn't have breakfast as this was extremely overpriced at £15 a head. We went to the cafe down the road which cost us £16 for 4 of us! On the whole a nice hotel, but we're disappointed on check in. Check out was completely different. The staff were excellent despite their being a long queue.
Noisy and obnoxious staff”
I was specifically requested a quiet room as I suffer from insomnia. It would seem the hotel took it upon itself to find me the noisiest room in the entire hotel. When I reported it on the morning after mum first night stay at 7.15 am as I rushed out to work, I was told I could not change the room unless I done so before 11am. I replied would you like me to cancel all my business meetings for the day. I wouldn't have minded so much but the male member of staff with American accent was extremely rude, arrogant and argumentative. The customer is always right? Not with this guy or this hotel. Two nights and no sleep due to my room being directly on the road which never stopped with heavy traffic all night. I am disgusted at your customer service. I will ensure on my business endeavours to let as many people as possible know about your wonderful service.
Functional, no frills hotel ”
The best part of RE Shoreditch I would say is the staff. Sajib at check-in was pretty friendly and helpful and every time we walked past the front desk, the hotel staff would say hello. The room itself is functional and in many ways, better than other hotels around this price range as the room was a good size for two people. The things that were not so good about the hotel would probably be the surrounding area - it can be a little rough or intimidating if you're coming from bethnal green tube station and waking your way to the hotel. Would recommend stopping at Liverpool street station and catching bus 48 or 26 which stops right outside the hotel instead. I would like to point out that the room had no safe so every morning, we had to make sure we put all our valuables into our luggage and locked it up. Also, we somehow felt that the bath towels were always dirty with little stains and fraying edges. Same for the pillowcases which seemed a bit scratchy. It could well be psychological though. Our bed was the kind that sinks in towards the middle and because of this, it gave us some back and neck aches I would recommend RE Shoreditch for short stays and if you, like us, will be out of the hotel the whole day and only need a place to sleep.
Convenient hotel in London”
I'm sure you all know how expensive cab fare is in London. So my girlfriend and I are really grateful for Bus #55 that takes us between town and RE. We didn't have to worry about catching the last train, changing lines etc.
