Welcome to Osaka, my favorite city in Japan! From the delicious street food and the historical Osaka Castle to the fun at Universal Studios and the bustling shopping districts, there’s so much to love. I hope you enjoy this itinerary as much as I did traveling there.
After checking into the Hotel Unizo Osaka Shinsaibashi, I began my morning at Osaka Castle. I stopped by Lawson convenience store and nearby coffee shops to grab snacks for a picnic in the park. After enjoying the beautiful scenery, I explored the castle and discovered its fascinating history. Later, I visited Kaiyukan, Japan’s largest aquarium, and was mesmerized by the diverse marine life exhibits.
On the second day of my adventure, I headed to Universal Studios Japan. As I approached the park, I was greeted by the bustling atmosphere of Universal Citywalk Osaka, a vibrant area filled with hotels, restaurants, and shops. Having pre-purchased my tickets online, I conveniently picked them up at a nearby convenience store. Japan is so high-tech! Given the long lines, I recommend downloading the USJ app to check wait times. USJ is one of my favorite spots in Osaka, offering an exciting blend of entertainment and thrills for visitors of all ages.
Following my adventure at Universal Studios Japan, I ventured into Shinsekai, where the iconic Tsutenkaku Tower illuminated the night with its dazzling neon lights. There, I indulged in one of my favorite Japanese delicacies, kushikatsu, at one of the many 24-hour restaurants that line the streets of Shinsekai. After savoring the crispy delights, I treated myself to a rejuvenating experience at Spa World, indulging in the soothing warmth of its relaxing hot springs.
On my final day in Osaka, I explored the vibrant Namba area, including the famous Dotonbori district, where I indulged in shopping and took a memorable picture with the iconic Glico sign. Subsequently, I took the train to Umeda, Osaka’s largest station, and visited the Umeda Sky Building, a magnificent two-tower mixed-use skyscraper. Reflecting on my trip, I reveled in a fun-filled adventure that included historical sites, a thrilling time at Universal Studios Japan, shopping excursions, and delicious foods. This journey has left a lasting impression, and I will always look forward to returning to Osaka.
