Flash is not working in Last minute & No Hair dryer and Tea/coffe maker
We booked for three persons in the room. Only a single mattress was provided on the floor, definately does not qualify as a bed. Management was totally unhelpful and would not meet face to face to discuss matter.
Nice Ambiance, Good Food and Hospitality”
Service, hospitality and food (specially prepared veg food)
Peaceful and private”
Helpful and friendly staff, comfortable large rooms, padi field location
We stayed at Deluxe Villa 3, which I recommend as it is close to the pool and has nice big rooms, including great bathroom facilities. I think it would be good if it had more space for toiletries, but everything else was great. Although you need transport to get to central Ubud, it's about 15 minutes away at the most, the 3 daily shuttles in and out of town are pretty handy, although I think it would really be ideal if there was a late shuttle at 8 pm to get back after dinner. When you do need transport in and out of town outside shuttle times, the hotel transport is quick and of comparative, sometimes better, cost to the third party options.
Staff were very friendly and attentive. When I had an issue, they worked to clear it up as soon as possible, and the manager has a hands-on approach to problem-solving. The grounds and the rooms were kept very neat and tidy, and there is a very secure comfortable feeling because there's always people on hand if you need anything.
The pool, I agree, is small, but the kids loved it anyway. The padi fields surrounding contribute to a peaceful stay punctuated by sounds of frogs and crickets in a non-intrusive way.
Things that could be improved - I think the breakfast menu needs more variety, change it every other day. I wasn't fond of the private pool villa that we stayed in as a free upgrade because it was located in a separate block requiring transport - if you want a private pool villa, I recommend the ones closer to the reception.
All in a all, a great comfortable stay with lovely staff!
I'd like to preface by saying that those of you that read my reviews will know that I very rarely place a negative review. I booked this hotel online as I do most of the hotels I stay in, based on website pics, reviews and of course what I like in a hotel.
Firstly I was surprised and disappointed in the location of this hotel, its miles from Ubud central. When we arrived I was told that we had been upgraded, which is usually exciting, however when we got to our room I was very disappointed to see that we had been placed in a room with one double bed, despite requesting twin beds at the time of booking, the floor was caving in, outside was a horrible mess of dried up fish ponds, construction work and next to what seemed to be a staffing area.
There were no rice paddies in sight, and I was surprised to see that the restaurant was next door past an ugly construction site. The pool area was home to a massive ant infestation and the pool towels were - old, dirty & frayed.
I went back to reception and thanked them for our upgrade but said I'd rather stay in the superior room we'd booked, and that we needed twin beds. I was told that all of the superior rooms were booked out and they didn't have any rooms with twin beds.
A nice and clean room with private pool”
Great experiences to stay in a room with private pool. Less food option during breakfast. Overall is good.
Staff excellent, location bad, info on internet misleading
The stay was good. Finding the location traumatic resulting in hunting for alternate hotel in the middle of the night. Approach to the villa bad. Rat infestation in the room.
The transfer to Villa Mandi last day was welcome. Approach, rooms ver good. Staff service excellent and very helpful. Very far from the airport. The information given in Internet on location and distance misleading.
Perfect spot in Ubud”
Quiet, beautiful garden, and colonial design
We were 3 female travelers, we stayed in Ubud for 2 nights, to go to the monkey forest, lakes, vulcano, etc.. It was our best decision to stay in Villa Mandi. Its quiet, peaceful, and beautiful location and facilities.
The porch was gorgeous, and we loved that they brought us breakfast to our room.
The hotel also provides free shuttle service to the Monkey Forest.
We had a great stay”
location, pool, clean
We had a great stay at Villa Mandi, Our host Elu was very helpful
Calme, personnel attentif, proche centre ville”
Manager dell'hotel, struttura e piscina
