Best choice to stay”
It was my first solo traveling to other country and fortunately i choose the best place to stay. Marquee Guesthouse located next to central market, pasar seni and near to Petaling Street. It is also near the bus and LRT station, which is the advantage to explore KL. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom and toilet was the same. Breakfast is basic with bread and jam, unlimited coffee and tea. I was stay for three days and would love to stay there again when I visit Kuala Lumpur.
Worth to stay, budget price”
I stayed in Marquee Guest Houzz for a night. Excellent location since close to Central Market (Pasar Seni), Petaling Street and walking distance to Merdeka Square and Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad. Really close to Kuala Lumpur Komuter Station and Pasar Seni LRT station where can explore whole KL with LRT and komuter... Fast and stable wifi connection where is more than 40 Mbps all the time... Simple breakfast provided with bread, butter and jam... Nice and comfortable room, clean bathroom make me feel comfortable during my stay...I will choose Marquee Guest Houzz as my first choice accommodation in my next visit to KL.
Cozy .. And perfect for backpackers!”
.Clean rooms and bathrooms. The location is near china town and shopping centre. Also near from GO KL bus terminal where you can have a free ride around Kuala Lumpur. The receptionist was friendly. Needs improvement in their kitchen though where you have to prep your breakfast but overall experience was AWESOME!
Very Clean, Good Location”
I had a great stay in this hotel, very recommended for all types of traveler. it's conveniently located in Central Market and Kuala Lumpur Station. very clean and comfortable too.
Great hostel”
Pros: - Central location, great transport connections, shopping, food within 200 meters. Easy to find. - Lovely staff, let us check in early free of charge! Also staff remembered me from my stay 2 years ago! :) - Clean, no bad smells or bugs (like other hostels in the same price range in KL), bathrooms always clean too. - Comfortable bed. Air con worked great, could switch it on and off for the perfect temperature in our private room. - Balcony for smoking, eating, meeting fellow travellers etc. With fridge, kitchenware, microwave provided. All clean and comfortable. - Locks made us feel safe, no randoms allowed in. - Fast, secure internet!! Great basic hostel, with everything you need, clean, easy to get to, good staff. Not super fancy or anything, but affordable and great for backpackers or travellers who don't need luxury to be happy :) Cons: - The fan in our room was a bit loud, and people stomped around in the mornings (also loud).
Good guesthouse in the heart of KL”
This is a decent place to stay if you're looking to be in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The rooms were fine but I found the floors to be really loud, so when people walked past our rooms to/from the bathrooms, it sounded like loud constant stomping. I also personally found the lights everywhere to be too dim for my liking. In general, this is a decent place to stay.
Excellent”
The staff (whose name I can't recall clearly) was really helpful and friendly. The guest house itself has friendly guests and location wise it's very accessible to all the good spots in Kuala Lumpur.
Friendly staff”
The hostel is really close to station, and any common place like Gallery Kuala Lumpur. It's so easy to get anything when I stay there because it's located in Centrak=l Market. The receptionist is also very friendly and helpful. But for cleanliness is acceptable maybe cause the housekeeper not on duty. Overall, it was really pleasant stay for 2 nights for me.
Great value for the price”
This was a comfortable place to stay. I was only there for two nights, but they were great. Air conditioning works well, WiFi speed is adequate, and the location is on Kasturi Walk next to a convenience store, many street vendors, and the Central Market in Chinatown. Staff are very nice, let me in at 1:30 am for arrival, and let me keep my bags in a locker after check-out while I still explored the town. Price was under US$6 per night, and value was great! Apparently there is free breakfast as well, though I did not try it.
Met many travel friends and Great atmosphere”
You feel right at home when the staff greets you and they are very helpful about the city and places to visit. I have been to many hostels in KL but this place is Super Clean. They have a great balcony with a great view and a place to meet many travellers and play some games too. Will come here again for sure on my transit flight.
The staff are so friendly and Accommodating :)”
The staff sounded rude but they actually are very nice because they know limited words in english, haha. They were so helpful and it feels like home. The hostel is very clean and i met many travellers here. So many stories shared in Balcony. I extended my stay for more nights as the location so so so so good.
Good place”
Great place to stay in Kuala Lumpur, great location, few steps from Central Market, Free bus stop, etc. Clean, big bathrooms, nice staff, definitely a would return.
The big dormitory is well airconditioned”
The facilities are generally good. Apart from it, the only problem was that Agoda did not notified the change of the name of the facilities from the previous one to ZigZag.
Great place to stay :)”
I really loved my stay here, it's a great location.. close to Chinatown,Markets and Public buses and trains. Dorms are clean and cool, Multiple bathrooms which is handy, there is free breakfast, coffee and cold filtered water, also there is a balcony which is a great communal area to socialise and hangout :). But the best part of this hostel is the staff! always lovely and willing to help, they really made my stay special. I highly recommend this place :)
Clean but noisy”
First time i arrievd it was not consistant from staff.Because as i requested in the first stage but when i arrived it was not available so i have to sleep in on the second bed bunks.room was clean.but there is a lunatic guest always speak loudly from corridor everynight.he is really annoying.i dont know why he stay in that hostel more than 24 hours avaiable in that hostel.is he a just a guest or owner.Anyway i like the cleaness and internet was ok.i will be back if i travel to kuala lumpur again.but if there is still got that lunatic guest hang around.i wont stay there anymore.because it is really noisy until i can not sleep well.and have a nice travel in kuala lumpur in the morning.
value for money”

Good staff and location”
I spent 3 nights and the position is in the city center near chinatown near bus station (free bus) the hostel WAs very clean and the staff very helpfull and nice. They offer basic free breakfast in the morning with tea coffee and toast . If i come back again in KL i absolutely come back in this hostel
Staff so cute. Room okay ”
The location is so convenient to kuala lumpur hot place. Love it
Average stay”
My friend and I stayed in a double bed room. It was a pretty bare/no frills type of room - no windows, just a bed and a tiny nightstand. Outlets need adapters. Location was close to the train and right on a busy market street so I felt safe going in and out at night time. A couple of blocks from the Petaling Street Market. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the creaking floorboards get quite loud. It was overall fine for the low price we paid, but I was annoyed that the front desk gave us the wrong info about the bus terminal. We were told that we could just show up at the terminal the day of and get a ticket to Penang. We arrived at the terminal at 2pm and turns out all the buses to Penang were sold out until 11pm.. so we were stuck at the terminal waiting for 9 hours. It was a Friday, so maybe the buses booked faster than usual. Other than the misleading bus terminal info, the front desk was helpful with other activities we asked about.
