Zostay Hostel Backpackers
They wanted me to cancel the booking because the room wasn't available anymore.... At the same price, suddenly it turned out that I should have paid more for the same room
Don't trust the photo's!!! ”
Don't go the pictures are not accurate the location is bad there's to much noise from the street and it's not very clean.
Good location in old quarter”
Airport bus stop No.86 at the door of hostel Good staff Within walking distance to ho hoan kiem lake ,night market, cho dong chuan market, old hanoi quarter ,plenty of shops, restaurants and some halal restaurants, coffee shops, grocery, tourist agents, money exchange shops, not far from main attraction spots of old hanoi Room smelly coz inhabitants keeping tgeir shoes inside ,keep balcony door open while smoking .hostel staff couldnt be firm and stop that. Hostel entrance looks good but upper stairs it is old and cleanless of small bath room is not that good Breakfast is cup of coffee or tea plus egg sandwitch I was allowed to use kitchen to prepare my noodles Internet connection is good AC in the room is effecient and good Room has only sliding room that can be opened by any one with no security lock and so no privacy as many inhabitants leave door open when they go out or in.
Not within expectation”
Staff is friendly but the room is disappointing. Better pay more for better facilities.
Description and Photos do not at all match reality ”
Booked a private double. Although described differently it neither had a window or private bathroom. Linen smelled old and used, as well as it had some burn marks. There was a ventilation shaft which blew in air from the shared bathroom. The latter was not clean and very basic. To reach the double we had to go through a storage and a dorm room (which didn't look that great either). Breakfast was scrambled egg in a greasy bread roll. Not at all worth 360K per night, I would go that far to call this place a rip-off.
Awesome location if you travel by bus.”
Staff were friendly upon my arrival and late check-in. I didn't stay long enough to be able to comment on the facilities or breakfast.
I'll NEVER stay again!
The please is so old, No table no chair , The picture looks very clean and beautiful but in real life it is not. Not safe to leave your belongings even just your underwears, WHY? The door is open for everyone. The female dormitory door is link to Man's dormitory room. they are passing through anytime even while we are sleeping on our beds. Breakfast is just plain bread and egg or instant noodles.
Something Can't be solved by friendly”
After waiting for a quite long time after I arrived hotel, the staff said there was no bed for me (there was another traveller telling them that his bed was taken at the same time). Although they were trying to solve the problem by offering me another place to stay for 1 night, and come back to the hotel tomorrow, it was very far from the town unlike he said it was "close" , and I paid for the Uber myself to get back to there. They gave me many excuses such as it was because of my late show up, and someone was sick so they let her stayed 1 more night, totally not acceptable because check-out time is always earlier than check-in time. How can they be so sure that I will not show up at the time she has to check out? Obviously that is not a good booking management. I chose this hotel because of the good reviews, yes, the staff were friendly, but if I go to Hanoi again, I won't choose here to stay again. There're totally much more choice you can makein Hanoi.
The hostel was average, less than what you see online. Our room was up top floor with separated bathroom outside of the room which I was not in favor for, but it was doable. Good for one night of you want to crash to sleep.
This hostel doesn't have working wifi, reliable a/c, or competent service.”
This hostel was a waste of our money, we got there and they couldn't find our reservation because their wifi was so poor. Then they tried to put us in another room, not the one we reserved and showed them on the reservation. When we got upstairs the room smelled of old water and mold, the air conditioner was struggling to keep the room cool, and the Windows didn't shut. On the upside, we were literally the only ones staying at the hostel so it wasn't crowded. I would not visit again. We had wifi for about 10% of our visit and it was hardly enough to check an email.
Low ceiling in our 2 big bed room. Not advised for tall people. But after we get used to living there. Very well located and a very good pho 50meters from the hotel :)
Nice hotel, in the old town, you can explore old quarters from here. Very helpful staff.
Value and Sactisfy !!”
I picked this hostel due to having a personal preference of having the curtains for privacy but ended up getting much more in value. I only intended to stay for one night but stayed for another 5 due to how great this place is for value and how friendly the staff
The staff here are absolutely bloody wonderful, they made this place my little home from home. They sorted out absolutely everything for my stay inc. various trips/transfers/recommendations and are the friendliest going. The location is fantastic and the place itself is very clean. It's not a party hostel, but more of a little haven!
Very clean and friendly atmosphere, super helpful, they go out off their way and beyond for you. Best hostel I've stayed in Vietnam so far!
I 've stayed here for one night. I really like here for your service! Specially, Staff. Old Quarter Hanoi 's noisy, has many restaurants, bars, clubs around hostel. Eating out 's good.
Perfect for your stay in hanoi, you just step here in a good spot to make your trip wonderful ! I'll come again for sure.
It's amazing hostel !”
i enjoyed this awesome hostel. Nothing 's bad. Good hostel !
Not bad, I just didn't like it”
The room was ok, even it wasn't room I paid for, instead of 6-female I was in 14-mix...what I didn't like the most was that they wanted to keep my passport until check-out...for me this is not acceptable, it's the most important document I have and can't let it just in some shelf where can anybody get and take it.
