Zululand Safari Lodge and Tree House, Ubizane. This place is ideal for those wishing to see northern Kwazulu and the big game parks with ease. Just a two minute drive from the main highway yet isolated enough to provide sanctuary from the stresses of the modern world. Only 15 minutes from Hluhluwe umfolozi. Accommodation is in traditional Zulu round houses or tree houses. We went to bed and wake with Nyala Buck and zebra on our doorstep. Staff at Ubizane are fantastic with their knowledge of the area and we could not fault their friendliness and help. Game drives are provided at a cost and are well worth it. A super breakfast is provided every morning with all tastes catered for. Dinner is worthy of a top class restaurant. Watch out for the monkeys in the morning though. Highly recommend for a two or three night stay

Very good location dor having a safari to the Hluhluwe reserve. At te reception iT was possible to book directory a safari. Next morning we were picked up. A very Nice restaurant with a view to a pond with crocodiles, yellow birds. Monkeys were playing in the trees. The lodge was rondel with a kichen en was in the milde of nature. We saw gnoes, impalas nearby. In the evening we had a marvelous buffet and a very good breakfast in the morning.

Checkin was excellent with friendly staff and welcome drink. Excellent 3 course dinner in private garden surrounds with log fire and personal attentive table service. Private tree house with large balcony overlooking the forest with local wildlife in the area. Relaxing and sun baking poolside with attentive bar service. Fantastic dining area with adjacent lounge areas. Ubizane game reserve 2 hour bush drive, sunset drinks and snacks, many giraffes, zebras, a rhino and other wildlife. Very close to Hluhluwe and Imfolozi game reserve. Hluhluwe town only 5km away, only 2km from N2 highway. Overall a perfect place to stay.

The most amazing place”
What a fairytale!! Super clean, amazing view, zebras and antilope walk around your lodge. The staff is very friendly and they bring you a bed time story every evening. We loved it ! The safari lodges are much nicer then the Tree house lodges. We were doubting what to book but we made the right decision. Safari lodge is a much more spacious environment and also has a nice pool nearby. We didn’t really like the buffet restaurant in the evening, though. We joined for dinner 1 night but didn’t like the taste nor the choice of meals presented on the table. We’d rather pick our own food every evening so I can enjoy dinner the way I want to. Other than that, this accommodation deserves some awards. Keep up the good work!

This was my second stay with Zulu Safari Lodge. The only complaint I have is the buffet dinner. I honestly thought the food was terrible and did not fit with the rest of the experience, or with a 4 star rated hotel. And to pay R240 for a meal that was that bad really put me off. However, on my previous visit I had a really lovely buffet dinner and was quite happy to pay the R240!

A bit run-down, particularly the Safari part of Zululand Lodge. Long hike to reception past animals in fenced enclosures, e.g. ostriches. Could do with a makeover. Staff too eager to sell their activities. Good location for access Hluhluwe Park though

An amazing experience to stay two nights with many animals around”
The double bed is actually two mattresses put together, what my husband and I don't like. The big disappointment was that the reception offered us the hairdryer without telling us that it costs R200 when we asked whether the hotel has it. We only knew the price when we checked out. Except these, everything was great there. We liked the view of the restaurant on the crocodile pond with many birds flying around. It's also nice we could see many impala and birds around while having our own drinks at the terrace. The breakfast and dinner were a bit overpriced, but the dinner was delicious and a good chance to try the local food.

Great Romantic Wildlife Getaway”
My partner and I had a great stay at the hotel. The accomodation and food was world-class, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a mix up with our booking as we had booked the room incorrectly on Agoda, booking for one person instead of two, but this was well-handled by the hotel staff and they gave us a discount on the balance that had to be paid. I would definitely recommend the tree-house accommodation to couples seeking a romantic getaway. The accommodation is pricey but I think worth spoiling yourself on.

You as an agent have let us down twice now. So will never book with you again. Booked for bed and breakfast. Arrived and they said we only can have the chalet. No Breakfast. Place was very worn out. Not like advertised. Room smelt of bleach and drains. (no 4 star). only cater for overseas visitors. Food overpriced and restaurant packed full and noisy.

eine tolle Unterkunft mitten im Busch! ”
Bei der Einfahrt zur Lodge wurden wir von einer großen Herde Giraffen verschiedenen Alters begrüßt. Bis zur Rezeption begegneten wir Zebras, Gnus, Nyalas und vieles andere.

Safari-Urlaub”
Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Unterkunft war sauber. Zur Zeit unseres Aufenthaltes gab es wenig andere Gäste, so mußten wir unsere Malzeiten in der benachbarten und zugehörigen Zululand Tree Lodge einnehmen. Das war soweit OK, wir haben dafür aber immer das Auto benutzt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren gut. Das Wasser im Pool der Zululand Safari Lodge war nicht sauber, wir haben aber festgestellt, daß sich Personal bereits darum gekümmert hat. Es gab auch andere Reparaturmaßnahmen in der Anlage. Man hätte vielleicht die wenigen Gäster der Safari Lodge gleich in der nicht ausgebuchten Tree Lodge unterbringen können. Trotzdem waren wir erfreut, daß sich im Bereich der Safari Lodge Zebras und Antilopen aufgehalten haben (davon ging aber keine Gefahr aus). In der Tree Lodge gibt es unterhalb der Restaurant-Terrasse einen eingezäunten Teich mit Krokodilen, man hatte also immer etwas zu beobachten. Leider gab es während unserem Aufenthalt keine Fütterung. Im Ganzen empfehlenswert!

Romantische Bungalows in tollem Setting”
Wunderschöne Anlage mit schönem Pool; Zebras, Giraffen & Antilopen die um die Hütten herum grasen. Saubere und schöne Bungalows und ein tolles Dinner Buffet in der benachbarten Tree Lodge. Super Ausgangspunkt für den Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park, da Memorial Gate nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt.
