Zuri was not my original option for our vacation in Coron but I am more than happy than it was a serendipitous mistake on my part. The location was great as it is near the town proper. Going to the town proper is easy as you could take a tricycle ride for a small fare and the tricycles are readily accessible as they are waiting outside the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful. The lobby is so relaxing even if you’re just there to sit for a while waiting for your ride or just lounging around. The pool is wonderful as it is fronting the sea and the reclaimed area which was planted with coconut seedlings. There’s a kiddie pool for your kids and a jacuzzi pool for adults. At night, there is a live band for some entertainment while you sip your drinks from the bar. If you want a relaxing time and want to pamper yourself, the Cattleya Spa is open till 10 pm and my friend says she had a wonderful massage (hot stones massage). The room is spacious and cozy. My husband loves the couch so much I caught him napping on it several times. The beachfront room is so relaxing. I would like to commend the hotel as this is the only hotel wherein the rooms were designed to have hanging bars to dry your swim clothes! They really have in mind the needs of tourists like me who will just be coming home from the Coron tours soaked wet. The bistro serves an excellent breakfast buffet while their ala carte dishes are very good as well. The staff are the best. From the bell boys, concierge, cleaning staff, and drivers. They accommodate you with your needs. The only thing that was a hassle for us was that we were checked in for just a few minutes late. I understand that the room was not yet available. They made up for that for letting us check out late. Anyways, we will surely be back but the next time with my kids so that we can try the family room which I hope will have a bathtub.

One of the best in Coron”
The most important thing to me in a hotel room. The bed. It is 5/5. Even if I am not very tired, I didn’t stay awake for more then 20 minutes on their bed. It’s comfy, very similar to the other hotels we’ve stayed at but there’s something about it that just knocks me out 😅 it’s great! And the entire room in general is 4/5. It is massive, but still cozy. They do not use strong hotel room scent. The view of the islands from the balcony was good but the reclaimed area was such a downer, it ruined what could have been an exquisite view for me. It’s not the hotel’s fault though, as they do not own those lands. Room facilities 3/5. I think the TV could be bigger. There were power outages due to the storm but they have generators so the power always came back immediately. The AC was leaking and the water from the faucet turned murky when it was raining non-stop. The bathroom 4/5. The floor easily gets dry after some time. The towels are soft and they smell good. Toiletries are okay, the bath gels smelled so good. The bar soaps smelled like perla, but I liked that they added grains of oatmeal in them for exfoliation. I don’t like the mixed shampoo with conditioner as it dried and tangled my hair. Buy your own Cream Silk in the nearby tindahan if you have beach hair. The staff services were great too 4/5, everyone was all smiles and very welcoming. We had a situation on our first day where the keycard was not working. They were very attentive and fixed it right away. The food was okay 3.5/5, we stayed for 5 days and we had buffet breakfast every morning. They served repetitive dishes, I had champorado with danggit for 3 days. We had ordered room service for our first night and the shrimp tempura was just too difficult to chew. The biggest pro here in this category is that they start early. Buffet opens at 6am. Hotel facilities 3/5. I didn’t use any other facility aside from the resto and pool. The infinity pool was okay. Again, the reclamation area ruined the view. The water was very cold, could use a heater. But good news is, it was always clean. I thought at first it wasn’t clean at all because there is a big yellow stain on one of the pool’s tile floors that can be seen from our balcony, it made it not very appealing to swim in. We were unable to order from the bar by the pool, but I think that one was a nice touch. Airport transfers - superb 5/5. Location from town proper 4.5/5 a bit far but I liked the quietness here. The hotel is close to the cemetery by the way.

Zuri Resort is one of the very few resorts located in the heart of Coron town. The resort has some sea-facing as well as pool-facing rooms which offer amazing views of the ocean in the front. The resort has 2 pools - one of them like an infinity pool and the best part is it’s open until midnight. My husband and I used the pool at night to relax after our day-long sight-seeing endeavors. The resort has some nice recreational activities like pool table, gym, board games etc. to help the tourists with a comfortable stay. There is also a diving shop named Easy Diving right behind the resort and they offer some good scuba diving tours for anyone interested. The resort offers some beach towels that you can borrow for the day. Since we had a packed schedule involving day tours, scuba diving etc. during our 3 night stay in the resort, we couldn’t avail all the facilities the resort had to offer. But the complimentary breakfast was a highlight since they had a lot of vegetarian options as well. The only not-so-pleasant experience for us during our stay was that the elevator was out-of-order, making it cumbersome to navigate in the resort. The staff was however helpful in transporting our luggage to the respective room. The resort is located at a good distance from all the shopping and eating joints and they also have 2 restaurants located within the premises of the resort. Our experience at Zuri was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed and well-informed about the property, which is still relatively new and being perfected. Despite this, everything exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved Zuri. The staff was outstanding—always warm, attentive, and eager to assist with any request we had. The hotel went above and beyond, lending us towels for tours and umbrellas when it rained, which we found incredibly thoughtful. The location was ideal—close enough to walk to downtown Coron yet just far enough to feel like a private getaway. We really appreciated the peacefulness of the setting. Another highlight was the staff’s kindness and patience as we practiced speaking the native language; they made us feel at ease every step of the way. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we couldn’t recommend Zuri enough to anyone visiting Coron. It’s a true gem.
