Agoda appoints new Chief Marketing Officer

Digital travel platform, Agoda, announces the appointment of Matteo Frigerio as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective February 2023. Matteo has been instrumental to Agoda’s growth overseeing the business’ acquisition channels and strategic pricing capabilities in his previous role as Senior Vice President of Marketing. As CMO, Matteo will lead all of Agoda’s global marketing functions as part of his expanded portfolio, including performance marketing (SEM/PPC, MSE, display), CRM, pricing and loyalty, brand marketing and public relations.

Matteo joined Agoda in 2013 in the Product team, before moving to Marketing in 2016, where he focused on optimizing performance and pricing. Prior to Agoda, he spent eight years in management consulting at The Boston Consulting Group, supporting clients across industries on strategy and transformation projects.

“Agoda’s ambitious and energetic environment is an ideal breeding ground for innovation and experimentation. This year marks my 10th anniversary with Agoda, but one thing remains the same – we still continue to experiment and explore new ideas using strong data to guide our decision-making process.  We are investing more in brand marketing and I’m very excited to see the result of data driven innovation to build our brand and meet the evolving needs of travelers,” said Matteo.

Matteo holds a MSc with honors in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and an MBA from INSEAD.
