Visa waivers are a hot topic in Southeast Asia, with Thailand and Malaysia introducing visa-free stays to travelers from India and China, and other markets rumoured to be considering the same. With Indonesia having the 6th strongest passport in Southeast Asia, offering visa free access to 78 destinations globally, according to the Henley Passport Index 2024, Agoda’s search data reveals the top five most searched visa free markets by Indonesians are Malaysia ranking top, followed by Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and Vietnam respectively.
