As inflation bites, travelers globally are on the lookout for the best deals out there. To help bargain hunters on their way, the digital travel platform Agoda shares the cheapest routes that were booked on Agoda in early August by travelers from Australia, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philipines, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
With 130,000 flight routes choose from on Agoda, travelers from Thailand and the Philippines had access to fares starting as low as 8 USD, sharing first place among ten Asia Pacific markets for the lowest domestic rate. Malaysia came in third, with Kota Bharu – Kuala Lumpur sold on Agoda for 9 USD.
Regionally, Thailand also tied with the Philippines but this time in third place with a 26 USD flight (Manila – Hong Kong and Bangkok – Kuala Lumpur). Second place regionally was for Medan (Indonesia) to Penang (Malaysia), which cost a mere 20 USD at some point. The cheapest regional flight was a 12 USD flight from Kuala Lumpur – Singapore.
The most affordable intercontinental routes sold on Agoda in early August were (from 3rd to 1st): Bali – Adelaide (157 USD), Perth – Kuala Lumpur (117 USD), and Delhi to Dubai ( 90 USD).
Agoda country directors from respective markets agreed: “It’s great to see travelers finding such amazing flight deals on Agoda. These bargains show there are real deals to be found if you are prepared to be flexible with carrier, route, and timing. Pricing of course changes with demand, and we seek to get the best prices available for wherever you want to fly. Domestic, regionally, or cross continents.”
