Visitors craving a panoramic view of the area can hop aboard Apsan Cable Car, which goes directly to Apsan Observatory. Apsan Park is considered an eco-park and contains hiking trails, historic monuments like Nakdonggang River War Memorial Hall and religious sites like Eunjeoksa and An-Ilsa Buddhist temples.

Sometimes called Woobang Tower, E-World 83 Tower is an attraction in Duryu Park near E-world theme park. The tower is set inside an enchanting green space that features a waterfall and fountains, colorful gardens and restaurants. E-World 83 Tower contains 83 floors, and guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the observation deck on the 77th. The Sky Lounge is a revolving restaurant near the top of the tower that provides classy cuisine as well as out-of-this-world night views.

Duryu Park
Built in 1977 on Duryu Mountain, Duryu Park is a fun place to spend the day with the family or take in some outdoor activities as an adventurous outdoor tourist. The spacious park contains a playground, swimming pool, tennis courts, roller skating rink and even football and baseball fields. If that’s not enough, visitors can enjoy a picnic near Cathedral Pond, which features Osaek Fountain, or read a book from Daegu City Duryu Library. Walking trails with scenic bridges lead visitors around the park and to Daeseongsa and Geumyongsa temples, both popular places to visit in Daegu. During springtime, Duryu Park features a bonus attraction – oodles of budding cherry blossom trees!

Seomun Market
Seomun Market is best loved for its textiles and sewing goods, but guests will find way more than silk and satin at this sprawling shopping center. In fact, visitors will find more than 4,000 stalls at Daegu’s largest indoor-outdoor market, and vendors sell everything from Korean soul food to fun souvenirs. The market is located next to Dalseong Park and a historic landmark that marks the spot where Daegu Castle once stood.

Daegu National Museum
Just outside Beomeo Park is where tourists can find Daegu National Museum, a cultural facility that contains more than 30,000 artifacts and archaeological treasures. Regular exhibits are featured in the Ancient Culture Hall, Medieval Culture Hall and Textiles and Clothing Hall. Outside Daegu National Museum, guests can meander through a landscaped garden to view stone monuments, several excavated archaeological sites and an ancient stone pagoda and dwelling site.
Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and most holidays (closed Monday and during Seollal (Lunar New Year’s Day) and Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day)
