It’s no secret that Pyeongchang-gun is a popular winter destination, but the region also flaunts plenty of activities in other seasons as well. A 2-day Pyeongchang-gun itinerary is the perfect amount of time to escape busier cities and enjoy the clean mountain air of Odaesan National Park and other outdoor activities for which the region is admired.

Day 1 Pyeongchang-gun Itinerary | Ski Resorts & Sightseeing
If you’re planning a trip to Pyeongchang-gun during the winter, skiing is most likely a priority. However, the snowcapped mountains and powder-covered venues hold some other charms that shouldn’t be missed.
- Yongpyong Ski Resort – a visit to South Korea’s largest ski resort might take up both days of a trip to Pyeongchang-gun, and that’s ok! Skiing is what this region is loved for, but this resort features year-round activities. During winter, beginners and advanced skiers are welcome to take on the resort’s many slopes, and snowboarders can join as well. When the snow is gone, the golf course opens, and outdoor adventurists enjoy hiking to Dragon Peak. A gondola ride over the green valley is a must-do activity during fall and spring. When the heat of summertime comes, travelers enjoy cooling off at Yongpyong Waterpark.
- Daegwallyeong Sheep Ranch – this privately owned sheep farm features more than 200 sheep in a natural setting, and visitors are encouraged to feed them some hay and give them plenty of love! A walking trail that encircles the ranch takes about 40 minutes to an hour to complete.
- Odaesan National Park – tourists who want to spend a day in the mountains of Pyeongchang-gun will want to head straight to Odaesan National Park. The region is rich in natural foliage and offers eight well-maintained walking trails that even beginners can navigate.
