- Koh Samet – known for its turquoise blue bays, sparkling sands and hopping nightlife, Koh Samet is a number-one destination for many travelers to Thailand. Ferries leave regularly from Ban Phe Pier, and the trip to Koh Samet from Rayong takes about 45 minutes. Tourists are welcome to spend the night on the island, but booking a beachfront bungalow in advance is highly recommended, particularly on weekends.
- Koh Mun Nork – reservations are required in advance to travel to and stay at this private island, and the effort is well worth it! Koh Mun Nork invites guests to enjoy pristine sands, dense jungles and snorkeling and diving like no other place on Earth.
- Mae Ramphung Beach – the longest beach on the east coast, Mae Ramphung Beach is lined with restaurants, lounge chairs and beach bars. Families can enjoy swimming, water sports and a public park lined with plenty of shade trees.
- Suan Son Beach – this smaller stretch of sand offers a bit more privacy than some of the more popular beaches in Rayong. The area has several beachfront resorts, local shops, restaurants and endless views of Koh Samet and the Gulf of Thailand.

Ban Phe Market is a local Rayong staple and a must-see tourist attraction. The market is divided into two sections – Ban Phe Fresh Market and Ban Phe Souvenir Market. Visitors can pick up souvenirs, local products, clothing and basic necessities at Ban Phe Souvenir Market. Located next to Sribanphe Pier, Ban Phe Fresh Market also is a great place to watch local fishermen and learn more about their seaside lifestyle.

A wooden walkway takes guests through some of the more lush and beautiful parts of the forest. Other trails are open and may require supervision for smaller children. Tourists also can take short boat tours in parts of the wetlands. Mornings and evenings are the most popular times to visit Tung Prong Thong, as the landscape takes on golden hues during sunrise and sunset.
