Summer Sonic Bangkok 2024

Summer Sonic Bangkok 2024

Summer Sonic, the world-renowned music festival from Japan, is set to land in Thailand for the first time on August 24-25, 2024, at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The festival will bring top artists from around the globe to share the stage with Thai artists. Leading the lineup are the American pop-rock band, OneRepublic, and Suede, from the UK. From Korea, the boy band BoyNextDoor will perform, along with Travis Japan, from Japan. Representing Thailand will be bands like Getsunova, Bodyslam, and Violette Wautier, among others. Tickets are now on sale, and music enthusiasts should not miss this rare opportunity to see such talented artists come together for one event.

Summer Sonic Bangkok will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Digital krathong floating will also be available in an effort to reduce the environmental impact. The event features four distances: the marathon (42.165 km), half marathon (21.1 km), mini marathon (10 km), and a fun run (4.5 km). Each distance has different starting and finishing points, allowing runners to pass by various landmarks of Thailand’s capital, such as the Grand Palace, Democracy Monument, and the National Stadium. It’s a unique way to explore the city, and although tiring, it is definitely worth it. The event will take place on December 1, 2024. The final event of the year will take place on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024 – Amazing Thailand Countdown 2025! The main venue is ICONSIAM, where fireworks will be on display over the Chao Phraya River, spanning a length of 1,400 meters. The fireworks are eco-friendly and made from sticky rice, which produces less smoke than regular fireworks. The average duration of the fireworks show is around 10 minutes, so those who want to capture beautiful moments can be assured that there will be plenty of time to snap away.

In addition to ICONSIAM, another landmark for Bangkok’s New Year countdown is at CentralWorld. The area in front of the mall will be transformed into an extensive stage, featuring top Thai artists and singers, making it one of the biggest gatherings to bid farewell to 2024. The festivities start in the evening and will continue until after midnight.
