Travelers wanting to go directly to Hiroshima from the airport can grab a bus outside of the arrivals hall. Buses run regularly, and the trip takes about 45 minutes. Alternately, buses also run to Shiraichi Station, where trains bound for Hiroshima Station leave every few minutes. The train trip from Shiraichi Station to Hiroshima Station takes about 45 minutes. Taxis, which are the most expensive yet most private option, also are available outside the arrivals hall. Visitors wanting to explore areas outside Hiroshima will find buses that travel regularly to Mihara Station (30 minutes), Kure Station (50 minutes), Nakasuji Station (40 minutes) and Fukuyama Station (50 minutes).

The Atomic Bomb Dome, an exhibit left in the condition as the nuclear blast left it, sits across the waterway around the park and is accessible by crossing Motoyasu Bridge. The structure is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Hiroshima Castle – lovers of Japanese castles won’t want to miss a tour of Hiroshima Castle, unique to the castle world due to its position on flat land.
