One of the centerpieces of the upscale neighborhood of Ermita, Robinsons Place Manila is the largest Robinsons mall in the world, so it will not disappoint during a shopping spree in Manila. The mall features Robinsons department store merchandise as well as loads of boutiques, international restaurants and a cinema. Even though Ermita is known as one of Manila’s metro areas, it also is home to University of the Philippines Manila, which is right across the street from Robinsons Place Manila. Probably needless to say, but the mall also features a good selection of fast food restaurants, like McDonald’s and Burger King, cheap local restaurants and even a food court, where visitors can sample local Filipino dishes for a fraction of the price of most restaurants.

Sitting next to the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene, better known as Quiapo Church, the Quiapo Market is a 24-hour treasure trove of fresh produce, cheap clothing, electronics, herbal medicines … and whatever else you might want to buy while shopping in Manila! The market also is a great place to find souvenirs and handicrafts and even get your fortune told. The market is a long-standing outdoor market, and tourists can spend several hours browsing the rows and rows of shops.
