Located about 20 minutes from Hua Hin Beach, Black Mountain Water Park is a splendid getaway for families needing a cool respite. The park features nine slides, which range from winding tubes to plunging slides, and seven pools, including a wave pool and a beach pool for those who just want to relax.

Tickets: 600 baht for adults (140 cm) and 300 baht for children (110 to 140 cm). Children under 110 centimeters can enter for free.

3. Mrigadayavan Palace (Maruekhathaiyawan Palace)
The former summer seaside getaway of King Rama VI, Mrigadayavan Palace offers a peek into how the royal family holidayed in the 1920s. Visitors can view each of the three stilted pavilions of the palace while touring the grounds, which once served as the venue for royal functions and entertainment. Covered walkways lead guests to a peaceful escape on the beach.

4. Khao Takiab

The transport hub was built in 1910 and rebuilt in 1926 and even includes a Royal Waiting Room, which was reserved for the king when he traveled by train to Mrigadayavan Palace.
