It serves as a hub for Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar Airways, Tigerair Australia, and Regional Express Airlines. There are several different options for getting to and from Melbourne Airport. Your four main choices are taxi, rideshare, bus, or car rental.

  • Taxi – Taxi ranks are located right outside of the terminals at Melbourne Airport. There is a $4.50 access fee for taxi pickup from the airport in addition to the total fare, but no extra fee for drop-off. The drive to and from the airport and the Melbourne city center takes about 30 minutes.

  • Bus – The easiest way to get to Melbourne from Melbourne Airport by bus is via the Skybus, which operates every 10 minutes throughout the day. Skybus service desks are located in each terminal, and a one-way ticket is just $19.75. Alternatively, Public Transport Victoria buses are also available from the Ground Transport Hub of Terminal 4.
  • Car Rental – A number of car rental companies operate out of Melbourne Airport, including Enterprise, Budget, Avis, Europcar, Thrifty, and Hertz. Renting a car is a convenient and affordable way to get around Melbourne.
